Estate Intake

Terms of service

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms are an agreement between Connor Pierce, doing business as Kellvane ("we") and the law firm that buys or uses Estate Intake ("you"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

Estate Intake lets you send clients an online questionnaire, see their answers, and download a summary and an asset spreadsheet. It collects facts. It doesn't give legal advice, create documents, or replace your judgment. You're responsible for reviewing what clients enter and for the legal work that follows.

2. Price and refunds

The price shown at checkout is a one-time payment. It covers use of the service, including hosting and email support, for as long as we offer it. If you're not satisfied, ask within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After a refund, the account is closed and its data deleted.

3. Your account

You decide who at your firm has a login, and you're responsible for what they do with it. Remove people when they leave. Tell us right away if you think someone got into your account without permission.

4. Your clients' information

You own everything your clients and staff enter. We hold it only to provide the service to you, following our privacy policy. We treat it as confidential: we won't disclose it to anyone except the service providers listed in the privacy policy, or where the law requires it, in which case we'll tell you first if we're allowed to. You can download it from the service and delete it at any time.

You're responsible for having a proper basis to collect your clients' information, for telling them how it's used where your rules require it, and for your own professional duties, including confidentiality and supervising the vendors you use.

5. Acceptable use

Use the service only for your firm's client intake. Don't use it to send spam, collect information for anyone else, upload anything unlawful, try to get into other firms' data, or interfere with how the service runs. We may suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

6. Security and incidents

We protect the service as described in the privacy policy. If we confirm unauthorized access to your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours and cooperate with your response.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but don't promise it will never be down. We may improve or change features. If we ever stop offering Estate Intake, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice to download your information.

8. No warranty

Apart from what these terms say, the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. You should keep your own copies of anything you need for a client's file.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect, special or consequential damages, or lost profits. Our total liability for anything related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us. These limits don't apply to a party's fraud or willful misconduct, or to our breach of the confidentiality promises in section 4.

10. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from Settings, which deletes your information as the privacy policy describes. We may close an account that breaks section 5 after notice and a chance to fix it.

11. General

The laws of Louisiana govern these terms. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We'll email you at least 30 days before any change to these terms that reduces your rights. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement about the service.
